Q10 MAX - strengthen your body
Q-10 Max is a strong vitamin and mineral product, containing the co-enzyme Q-10, also called ubiquinone.
Q-10 Max is used to prevent and treat lack of the co-enzyme Q10.
Q10 is a co-enzyme, which is part of the cells transformation of energy. Q10 is therefore found in all cells, and if the level of the co-enzyme is too low, then energy production falls.
Q-10 acts also as an anti-oxidant, protecting the cells from damage from free radicals. Free radicals are formed in all cells, in connection with the production of energy. The free radicals destroy the cells, and therefore it is important that they be neutralised. This work is done by the anti-oxidants, among which are vitamin C and Q-10.
Q-10 Max contains 30 mg ubidecarenone (co-enzyme Q10) and the dosage is 1 capsule daily at mealtimes.
The side effects are few and mild, as there are in seldom cases reports of light stomach-intestinal disturbances, irritability and headaches.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Pharmacodynamic properties
Q10 is a vitamin-like agent, which is essentially like an electron transporter in the respiratory chain, just as the agent also functions as an anti-oxidant in the organism. Q10 is to be found in all the cells of the body. The greatest quantities in the heart muscle tissue, muscles, liver and the suprarenal gland.
Pharmacokinetic properties
The co-enzyme Q10 can be synthesised in the organism, but a certain amount is also introduced through the food, normally in the order of 5-20 mg. Synthesising is controlled by the enzyme hydroxymethylglutaryl Co-enzyme A reductase (HMGCoA reductase). Absorption occurs only incompletely in the alimentary canal. Q10 is primarily passed with the faeces.
